Avenged Sevenfold fans in Latin America will have to wait a bit longer to see the band live. The metal band from California announced that their upcoming tour has been postponed because lead singer M. Shadows is dealing with a vocal fold hematoma. The band emphasized that this decision was made to prioritize his recovery.

On their social media, they shared:
“With a heavy heart, and regretfully, we have to announce that due to a specific condition called a vocal fold hematoma, we’ve made the necessary decision to push our tour to early next year. We promise to come back stronger than ever.”

Shadows has dealt with vocal issues before, back in 2017, a similar problem forced him to take a step back after pushing through shows, which ultimately led to surgery. This time, the band is making sure he gets the rest he needs to avoid long term damage. He mentioned that vocal rest and rehab are his next steps before being able to hit the road again.

The postponement affects the Latin American leg of their Life Is But a Dream… world tour, which had fans waiting with excitement. While new dates haven’t been announced yet, tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled shows. A7X's fans should keep an eye on the band’s official socials for further updates.

The delay doesn’t change one thing: Avenged Sevenfold’s live performances are still going to be full of pure chaos and energy. It might sting a little now, but when they finally hit the stage, it’s going to be worth every second of this pause.

Wishing M. Shadows a fast recovery, NYNE can’t wait for the mayhem to return.
